I got my yarngasm todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaay!   

Courtesy of Dulcinea, I had a warm, tingly feeling this afternoon.

A priority box stuffed full of some yummy yarn! Check it out ladies (and any gentlemen perusing this thread)!!!


And she didn't stop there - tucked down in the very bottom, wrapped in their own special tissue, were...  two skeins of handspun! Are you kidding me, Dulcinea?!?


These are gorgeous colors and I can't wait to knit 'em up into scarflettes for myself.

Dulc, my husband was shaking his head (almost in disgust, perhaps, but I choose to think it was simply disbelief) as I was opening the package. I had just come home from a not-for-profit grant information meeting and saw the box lying on the floor. He asked me if I knew what was in there because the postal carrier lady apparently drove into our drive, opened her window and literally flung the box the 8 to 10 feet to our porch. (Thank god you didn't have anything slightly breakable in there.) Since I knew exactly what was in there, I exclaimed quite giddily, "Oh, it's okay because it's just my yarngasm!"

I then proceeded to fling myself down onto the ground next to the box and followed your instructions to "open this end first". I took a look inside and giggled like a schoolgirl. After I pulled out the first row of yarn, I did some quick estimations and began to realize just how much yarn could actually be in the box. That got me onto my knees. After the third row of yarn, I was bouncing up and down in excitement. By the time I opened the handspun, I was jumping up and down and doing my happy dance.

After the initial excitement started to fade, I began to fondle and organize my yarn. You can see by the first pic that I carefully organized each ball of yarn according to color, a tribute to both my excitement and my occasional OCD tendencies.   

Thank you so, so much, Dulcinea - I really am overwhelmed by your generousity! And I can't wait to start knitting up some of these yarns!

LOL!!  no, i'm not kidding....... you told me what colors you were hoping for, so I had fun....... and seriously, it helps me out because it barely made a dent... i have WAY too much of the stuff!

so i'm glad i could share some in your direction.... so enjoy!  (note to self, get more boxes, i have a feeling i may need them)

Get your wist fingers ready  I received some beautiful artwork from jojo-modjo today. I give you.....JEALOUSY  (and you will  be feeling it!)



The piece is 26" x 17" and I believe I will be hanging it in my living room above my desk  The photo does not do it justice at all but I only have my phone for pictures. Thanks again Jo, you really made my day

Nice stuff so far ladies.  I could find some use for that yarn! and the picture is so cool.

I received crochet stitch markers from Nofury!  They are so cool.  She personalized them with Summertimerolls, and the beads are really pretty.  I'm sorry if you can't see that well in the picture.  I will try these markers out tonight...sure will beat the safety pin I've been using!!!  She also made a matching set of earrings, which my daughter promptly said, "I know you can't wear these mom, it's okay I'll take em'"  Nice of her.  Then Nofury also sent an outfit for my daughter as a surprise, which again, quickly disappeared into her room.  I don't have a picture b/c I swore if I stepped foot in her room with it as messy as it is, I would throw everything away.  Yep, I'm a hardcore momma.  I heard her singing and dancing, so I'm sure she was wearing her new skirt.
