... right... about me.  I'm the REALLY old lady in the crowd (even older since my last b'day, but i haven't hit 50 yet!), the one peering over the bifocals.  The one who may have managed to tear up my shoulder by knitting too much.  I have 1 teenager at home, and my day job is a computer programmer.  I have no allergies except MRI dye and a couple of antibiotics,  no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels.  We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

Crafted Items:

A simple pencil skirt in black would be great as I can never find any to fit me in length...I'm short...

I would like this skirt but in black http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9731257

I love this top if you could make this I would love it! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9403097

I would love a skirt similar to this or a longer version of this... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9518586

I would absolutely adore this top - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9757306

I'd love this top http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8494268

A bag similar to the Hampton, Sanibel and Ashbury shown here - http://www.amybutlerdesign.com/products/bags_detail.php or

I would love one of these! I can think of tons of uses for these in house so more than one is welcome if you feel like making more than one... http://www.instructables.com/id/Collapsible-Bucket/

A sewn fabric cover for an icepack that I put over my eyes when I have a migraine...PM for the size please (because its a rather small ice pack).

The knitted base for the Mohawk hat (toddler sized). I'd like to add the actual mohawk part to it so I'd just like it in plain black and in a non itchy yarn for my son.

A bracelet similar to this one made by BKRenning - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=211107.120

Some coasters would be nice! Here's an example but any clear coasters with something cool in it would be great too! PM me for ideas http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=226691.0

The Ruffled Skirt - its basically a pencil skirt with some ruffles (in black preferably & please PM me for measurements) from the Spring 07 issue of Adorn magazine. I have the pattern I just need someone to make it for me. I would be your best friend forever lol!

BIG WISH! A crafted Thomas the Train piggy bank or a Bob the Builder piggy bank. Okay pretty much anything thats a piggy bank that relates to tools, trains, trucks, cars, dinosaurs, monster trucks or anything like that would be fantastic! He needs a place to keep the change that he earns for helping around the house and being a sweet little boy. Oh and if it plays music that would be even better - he loves music and things that talk!!!! Please no toxic paint as my son is almost 3 years old but you never know he might try to lick it or something lol.

One of these in black would be great (preferably the larger size but a small one is fine too). Crafted is great too! I have limited space in my house so I'm trying to utilize every spot possible for storage... It doesn't have to be like this but here's an example of what I would like... http://www.lakeside.com/details.asp?I=MRT&N=36+4294965894&Nao=127&R=666&product=Magnetic-Storage-Bin

Pyramid studs & Plaid purse (a plain black purse or maybe some cute retro circle print would be great like this too but I really like this plaid material): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=55325.0

One of these or something similar would be great as I have a large yarn stash and its all stuffed in my sewing desk. Crafted would be better than bought really. I'd love any sort of storage thats collapsable (I hope I spelled that right lol) no matter how big or small. I have lots of bits and pieces that need a home! http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/074080.html

If your sewing skills are good and you'd like to give this one a go I'd love a bag with a storage comartment for scissors, etc on the outside (or inside). Here's an example but anything would be great. http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/085525.html

This would be SO cute! I would love this in these colors. Something much simpler that doesn't roll or anything would be sweet. Just a simple tote with a pocket on the front would be great! http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/344921.html

I would totally love this and I would like be your best friend forever (or something like that) if you made this for me! Stained glass Union Jack (this would be great to hang in my window) - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6311151

Id love just the British Charm (I love this too!) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6732827

This one can be bought or crafted. If someone knows how to make or would like to buy one - a lapdesk would be wonderful. They sell these for like $10 at Hobby Lobby too if you need to see what they look like. Theres a pic on this link too - If you are wondering what a lapdesk is its this thing (it doesn't need to have a cup holder and just plain material would be fine)...http://img.inkfrog.com/click_enlarge1.php?image=ldparislg_(Small).JPG&username=sharps_container_supply&aid=13168672

Some black and white photographs of old English churches or houses (preferably the ones made of stone or houses with thatched roofs). I know this one is a long shot but I can dream! Just so you get an idea Id like them all to be relatively uniform because I want a set of 3 to 5 to put in a photograph cluster on my wall. Here are a few examples:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7122617
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7067967
I think I'm good for this for now! Thanks ladies!

I'm claiming Dulcinea for an item from her wist...specifically, the frick it bucket (to keep it a PG thread Smiley )

This is my first claim, none sent, none received.

I am in Wyoming and I have a two-year-old son and a wonderful husband. I like to sew and try new crafts.

Crafts
Sewn
Full apron- PM for a size, because, um, I want to make sure BOTH boobs make it in

I love simple dresses and am very open to lots of different fabricsI just always seem to get frustrated when its ME in charge of the sewing!

Any kind of bag- I love the Amy Butler bags I see here, but I am open to pretty much any bagfrom little coin purses to big honkin tote bags.

Scoodie! I would love to have one in some plain color on the outside and some wildly funky color inside

Felt food! I absolutely felt food and would like any assortment of the following: tea bags with sugar, fruits, sandwiches, spaghetti (yarn) with meatballs, vegetables, little meals, pretty much if you eat it, lets see it in felt.

Sock Monkey- the original plain sock monkey made from those socks

Knit/Crochet/Loomed/it started as yarn and you made it into something
A little sweater for my two-year-old son. I keep trying, and keep failing. Hes a 3T size and I can provide measurements. Totally not picky about yarn on this one.

Funky mittens- crazy yarn combos, maybe stash busting mittens?

Woodwork/Art

Little boxes- I am obsessed with little boxes that are differentcigar box like items.

Art- I like art pieces that are smaller and reminiscent of Nick Bantocks style http://www.nickbantock.com/

Craft Supplies
Amy Butler patterns- new or used

Retro fabrics/retro inspired fabrics- bold prints from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

Kitschy fabrics- silly prints, preferably retro inspired (ie Pin Up Girls)

Crochet kit- Ive tried OVER and OVER and all I can get is this tiny little sad square that takes days. If there is the crochet whisperer in this group, help me branch out from my sweater machine and Knifty Knitters!

Serger (ha ha! Just in case Bill Gates signed on for OWS 32)

Bias tape of all kinds

Buttons- any kind, any shape. My mom has a giant button tin Im jealous about. I too often cannibalize existing garments for buttons.

Ribbon- for nothing in particular. I like looking at pretty ribbon 

Extras
SURPRISE ME! I cant think of anything right nowbut Ill put this here in case I think of some.

A little about me: Im a wife, mother and engineer. I mostly sew, but I also like doing some yarn stuff with my full collection of Knifty Knitter looms. I do a little embroidery, but mostly rustic. I really like Italian inspired items, Spanish and Mexican influence items, bright bold colors and retro kind of things. I LOVE the 40s and 50sthe styles, the colors, the tailoring. I like wearing knits, but I cant seem to sew them. Im a fan of thrifted items and like to live by reduce/reuse/recycle. This first wish list was hard to put together, so definitely let me know if you need more and I am SO open to someone making me something I didnt think of for myself. I was the kid who always loved ordering the grab box from companies that then grew up to be a ebay sucker for lots of things.

I love this shawl and am willing to wait longer if anyone will make it for me. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CivilWarShawlKAL/  Im not picky about color.  Would be just happy to even have one.

A Nubia (Civil War Knitted Scarf). Red or Heather Gray would be lovely.  Im not sure if the link will take you directly there.  http://www.raggedsoldier.com/  If it doesnt Click on Needlework Necessities and Novelties and go to knitting patterns.

SEWN[/size]

**Civil War Era Cape called a Mathilde Mantilla (Think of a Civil War era Poncho.  This is basically what it is)  Here is a link to the pattern http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ehag/godey/images/s5902170.jpg  and here is an example of what it looks like http://www.thegracefullady.com/civilwargowns/ready-mades_silkmantle.htm Measurements will be provided.  Wool blend or Corduroy would be great. Hood is decrotive and is not functional. It only uses around 3 yards.  I would also prefer it lined for warmth. It would be great if I could retain the pattern as well for future projects.  (I can sew I just cant figure out how to make it <frown>) without a predrafted pattern.  OR If someone with any drafting skills wouldnt mind drafting a pattern to my size I could play around with it and make my own (If I have a pattern to work with)

Primitive Rageddy Ann doll (An example is in my wists)

Handwarmers like the ones offered at Hot Topic. Victorian Goth ones would be perfect.

Crazy Quilted Purse
Victorian capelet.  At least waist length please email for length.
Regency or Victorian era Reticule
Petticoat either knee or ankle length !!  (Im 5'5 email for length)

Bars of handmade soap (the kind that is made from lye).  I have always wanted to try it!!  Lavender, oatmeal, goats milk, citrus are great however any scents are welcome!!  Or soap supplies as I would love to learn how to make my own. Premade bars are appreciated as I have young children and am concerned with having lye in the house.    Gonna take a break this round lol

Ive always been curious about those soap bombs.  My kids would probally love them !!  Also jars of bath salts would be fantasic as well.

BEADED
A beaded Victorian Choker would be lovely.

Hand crafted candles are great too.  Prefer either fruit and or spice scented ones or lavender (only floral scented one I like)

~~Supplies~~

A whimsey (spelling??) jar of buttons and ribbons and such would be really fun!!

Im always needing thread for sewing and this always stays on my list. I go through alot of black and white but love new colors too!!  The more the merrier and gently used is welcomed too !!

2 yard lengths of eyelet trims and any color is welcome !!

Patterned Ribbons is also welcomed too (again another one of my standbys lol)!!

Unwanted Issues of Threads ( I have all of 2003 2006-2008 Though I dont have the brand new issue yet) and Burda World of Fashion Magazine !! (used is fine)

Gothic Lolita Bible Magazine (used is just fine) (these have patterns in them)

Purse handles and supplies.  Silver victorian clasps would be great too.

Scrapbooking items  (trims, paper, stickers anything!!).  Im also looking for some things like brads, ribbons, fancy paper sissors.

Beading supplies like wire 18 gauge or higher, beads, spacers.
Im also needing jewlery making supplies too.

Vintage Sewing Patterns!!  36 Bust is perfect.
Im especially trying to find a Jumper from 1948(?) Simplicity 2705.

I claim frosty772 for some scrapbooking supplies.  And probably some trim and purse supplies thrown in there as well.  I'll make a bouquet o' supplies!

About me: I am a 30-year-old stay at home mom who loves to sew, but seems to have very little time to do so of late. I'm not very girly and I'm not a big fan of trinkets.  Basically, I'm very practical and like useful things.  Of course, I consider things to hang on the walls useful Wink.

I'm in Fairfax, Va (USA).  This is my first claim. 0 sent, 0 received.

Crafts

Things for my kids:

I am expecting a little girl late June and would love some crafted goodies for her.  Here are some suggestions:

-knitted/crocheted blankies in lavendar (I'm trying to convert my green/blue/yellow nursery into a girl's room by adding lavendar accents)

-bibs.  I love cute little handmade baby bibs and have yet to try my hand at making them

-Baby clothes.  I love little girl clothes of all kinds.  I'm just not crazy about pink, but anything else is a go.  Be creative!  I'll take any and all sizes, just make sure you label them so I know what they are.

-I need a new changing pad to keep in my diaper bag.  Something waterprrof, please (maybe oilcloth??).

My 2.5-year-old son doesn't want to be left out of the crafty goodness either!

-My sister-in-law is making him a toy kitchen, but he doesn't have any play food.  I would LOVE some crafted food for him.  Nothing with chokable parts, so probably made of fabric would be good.

-Dress up clothes.  I'm trying to put together a collection of dress-up clothes for him, but I'm stumped for what to include in it.  So far, all he has is some capes and a fireman hat.  I would appreciate some assistance -whatever you can dream up.

Things For Me

-Homemade notecards.  I love sending homemade notecards and I've seen some really beautiful ones out there.  You can have total creative freedom with this one, just stay away from anything religious or political Wink.

-Anything from my wists.

-Surprise me with what you do best.  Just, you know, try to make it something I can make use of Wink.

Supplies

-Quilting fabric.  I'm a quilter and my stash is woefully in need of some yellows, purples and neautrals.  I'll accept any and all sized pieces (including scraps), but I would really prefer quilt-shop quality fabric.

-Sewing patterns for childrens clothing.  I especially would like a pattern for baby bloomers (you know, to wear under dresses).

I claim Jojo-modjo for a skinny scarf or two  Wink

 2 claimed/ 0 sent/ 0 received

Hiya, I'm Karan and I live in the UK. I'm a 40 yr old housewife and mother and it suits me just fine Cheesy

I'm a very tactile person; things have to be soft or textured (and still soft!) I'm a night mare when clothes shopping as everything has to have "feel appeal" as well as being the right size/shape/colours . I  like curves not points, waves not spikes, circles not squares - you get the picture?

I'm a true child of the '70s and love the whole decade from the end of the Flower Power era to the reign of Punk to all the Glam between   Grin  I've have been described as " a happy hippy with Goth/punk leanings" and I won't argue with that!

I have a blog page full of swap related info including sizes and colour preferences, but basically if it's PURPLE then its GOOD   Wink My wist can be used for inspiration too, don't think you have to make exact copies of my wistys
http://www.wists.com/kookaloo
http://www.blogger.com/profile/08408096735291108000

Pre-loved is never unloved in our house, thrifted/regifted/recycled/upcycled/whatever - so long as it is in a clean and sound state we're happy

Knit or crochet shawl - purple/blue/charcoal grey/peacock greenyblue (yeh thats a real colour!) Acrylic is fine,in fact it's more than fine so long as it isn't scratchy.

Artwork - not looking for the Mona Lisa here but I know we have some very talented artists on here and I would be proud to hang your work on my boring walls! Brighten up my life (please)

Embroidered tea towels -I've been following the Tea Towel Tour swaps and I'd love something like that to give my kitchen a boost. They don't have to be kitchen themed just no cutesy animals please.

Embroidery organiser http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=168739.0

Knitted socks - not sure if this is too big a wish  Huh  I'm a UK size 7.5/EU 41. use up your oddments on me, they don't even have to match so long as the size is right! I have fat ankles though so we'll need to talk about measurments if you choose this. - many thanks to ADDICTED2KNITTING! I'll leave it up though cos ya know, someone else might want to make me some too  Wink Maybe something like these  http://fpea.blogspot.com/2007/04/free-pattern-friday-footies.html  where my fat legs won't cause a problem *lol*

Cushion covers approx 16" square, in duck egg blue or bright blue

Photo frames - any wood burning enthusiasts out there?? If not embellishments in any medium are cool anyway. PM for colours/themes

Badges/brooches/pins/buttons whatever you call them, I LOVE 'EM  Grin I always wear a brooch on the lapel of my smart coat and badges on my casual jackets and bags.

Soap - proper old fashioned fat and lye soap  Smiley as natural as possible, E.Os rather than fragrance oils please or no fragrance at all. I like oatmeal and coffee for the scrubbyscratchy effect

Crochet or knit cotton washcloths. I'd especially love Zodiac themed ones. I'll try and find a link to the patterns for these. Don't worry I don't want all of them *lol* Virgo for me and Sagit' for my Beloved  would be nice though.http://knitalittle.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/virgo.pdf
http://knitalittle.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/sagittarius.pdf  any cotton wash cloths would be appreciated though.

Personalised items: Growing up I NEVER got things with my name on because of the unusual spelling. Painted pottery or glassware would be cool. Anything really though with KARAN on it. If you can get KARAN KOOKALOO STARR on you'll get bonus points   Wink

I'll claim jojo_modjo for a small flamingo stamp and a few other things which will soon be determined., a swap journal, and at least 1 oldschool joystick(will add wisty surprise if I can't find any others).
This is my 1st claim this round, so 0 sent/0 received.

I'm calluna, in California, and I've been away from this swap for a few rounds. My wists are not an actual wishlist; theyre to provide some insight into my interests in the material world: http://www.wists.com/happyhermitheather  ... Because I am a Friend of Craftster, my profile there has lots of pertinent details, too. I like reusing and recycling, and anything in this list can be used, esp the more expensive stuff. I am vegetarian, left-handed, leftist, non-pierced, and am sensitive to smoke.

Crafts:
- mug cozy, for regular mug or a travel-mug
- wrist-warmers or fingerless gloves, OR the same idea except for the feet instead (more like toeless socks than leg-warmers, if that makes sense)
- Miscellaneous cloth/reusable items to take the place of disposable stuff (I just got a batch of cloth menstrual pads in a personal swap so I'm set on those for a while!)
- Hippyish recon clothing (patched-together kind of stuff), medium size
- tip-in pages - I dont have the journal yet that people are using, but if you send me a page Ill send you one back in the future. (:
-your ATCs - either as an extra if it was an easy one, or for the actual claim...however many you think is fair...
- Sandals made from tire tread, Im womens U.S. size 7.5-8
- A snood
- Wraparound pants, aka Thai fishermen's pants.
- Rug/floor-mat made from used plastic bags or other recycled stuff
- A cozy, washable coat, shawl, or shirt for my small cocker spaniel. It can be as girly as you like, and any color.
- a cloche hat in a dark color
- warm knitted socks
- biggest wish: a cooling neck-wrap -- with the little crystals inside that expand into gel when you soak it in water. Or 2 or 3 of them, if you have the time and supplies. Heres an example: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9724381
- Big handcarved stamp in an ornate, abstract flourish
- anything nice you make that can be donated for Second Chance Cocker Rescue's next benefit auction (That's the dog rescue group I work with).

Craft Supplies:
- Eyelet-setting tool, and maybe some eyelets, too
- citric acid for bath-bombs
- I dont know what theyre called, but the little devices that can record short sound-bites to be replayed when a greeting card is opened. Know what Im talking about? Either greeting cards that have those devices, or the devices by themselves. **DCWV is now marketing some just for scrapbooking, thank goodness! I dont know where to buy them, though!
- Opalescent, pearlescent, or some kind of metallic ink or paint
- Opalescent, pearlescent, or some kind of metallic pigment powder or embossing powder
- Embossing fluid (plus some basic how-to instructions? Ive never embossed before)
- Metallic (other than silver--already have a lot) or other abnormal embroidery thread
- Any size scrapbook paper or other decorative paper from or similar to the designs here - www.wists.com/happyhermitheather/prints
- Paint pens, esp metallic ones
- Prismacolor colored pencils -- I dont care how used-up and short they are
- Sharpies or other fairly fine-point markers with a good ink-flow.
- Quill-pen...Preferably one that requires dipping into a separate inkwell, rather than the ones with the ink cannister inside the pen (really really oldschool!).
- Absurdly goofy or kitschy religious paraphernelia (for mixed-media crafting...I dont know what Ill make with it yet, but I know I will make something crafty with it once I get it Grin).
- Strong adhesive that isn't too fumey or toxic
- matte medium or gloss medium, whichever youve got.
- dried, pressed plants/flowers
- X-Acto knife or set of similar cutting tools
- handmade paper; or other specialty artist paper
- black or white gesso (the cheapy kind is fine since Ive never used it before)
- milagros
- old typewriter keys, or circular letter charms that look old like that
- self-healing cutting mat
- set of small alphabet rubber stamps in a very cool font. If its missing a few letters thats okay.
- Boooooks...My amazon.com craft book wishlist --http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/HJ4Q12ZIPRQW
Books about Tasha Tudor. Books about book-making, creative writing, journaling or journal-making, scrap-papercraft, altered imagery, artists books/journals, and/or the therapeutic use of any of these. Books about becoming less of a consumer and more of a DIYer, affordably.  Books about things we can make and do that are therapeutic to the soul and spirit.

Extras:
- Homemade, no-grain treats for my doggie-girl (she has grain allergies but that doesn't affect her appetite!)
- Baked goods for me! I love them all.
-  Your guide to subversive/guerrilla crafting, or someone elses that you have.
- Any small ephemeral miscellany that could be used in mixed-media collage or papercraft, whether it came from crafty origins or not. Clock gears, random puzzle pieces, little scraps of eyelash yarn, weird little findings of any kind are welcome.

I will add more links to instruction/examples as I find them. Thank you in advance!
