Ok, you guys now have me addicted to making toys.  I have always wanted a sock monkey, but never tried making one (laziness more than anything), but now I can't get enough of them.  Here's my first two:

The brown one has extra long limbs and tail because I used one of the "over the knees" socks.  I think I love him the best.  You really have to look close at the black one to see that she has two different eyes.  I didn't have two flower buttons, but I really thought she would look cute with one flower button, anyway.

Well, I'm off to go thrift store shopping for new socks.  My family is being stubborn and won't give theirs up Smiley.

Thanks for the great comments.  I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves the long legged sock monkeys Smiley.  I keep trying to steal my daughter's thigh high socks, but she catches me Smiley....LOL

Your monkeys are great! I just recently found some really great tutorials on making them on the DIY website. They make frogs and even crocodiles. Nice job
