The Newfoundland Mittens are really popular where I live and are nice and toasty warm. These ones were made for Sevsonlygirl for a swap:

and a pair of Earl Greys that I made for my DH

I've got a pair of mittens like that in red and blue that I bought from a store that sells handmade crafty-things in rural Ontario Smiley

I'd like to try to make a pair of bona-fide lobster mittens.  I tried to find a photo or other weblink but can't find it, so I'll describe:  you knit them of wool massively oversized, and they felt to fit perfectly as you use them.

Those mittens are so great. I love the colors, too. And nice socks, as well! They look cozy and soft!

Awesome---the mittens are gorgeous (love the colors) and I bet your manflesh loved the socks.  Most guys that I know are so appreciative of handmade (lovemade?) gifts.

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

I love the colors of your mitts.  They were the first pair of mitts that I had ever made (and first dpn experience!).  They are crazy popular here in South Eastern NB!
