I am so glad you posted this. If you don't mind me stealing your creative geniussness, I am so making one of these for my boyfriend's birthday.
He's been wanting me to try sushi for a few months now, buuuuut... I'm not quite to that stage of experimentation yet... I told him it will be a while. I am totally going to give him a card that says for your birthday I made sushi we can both enjoy. Then I'll give him the cake. lol
I love you cake, and I know mine probably won't be quite as spectacular.

feel free to steal the idea and im positive it will be just as yummy if not yummier
just a hint though, for the seaweed part..you need ALOT of food colouring..
i added a whole bunch of yellow red and green with blue to try and get it a that colour
and the icing was just plain buttercream (1/2 cup butter, 3 cups icing sugar, approx 1 tblsp milk and vanilla and whipped to hell and back)
