I crocheted this bag today and it went really quick!  Bag measures approx. 12" from bottom to top when not filled.  Stretches to approx. 24" when filled.  Handle measures approx. 19" long.  This bag features a pocket that it can be folded into so you can just throw it into your regular handbag and go.  When folded down into the pocket, it measures approx. 4" x 6".

Thanks for looking!

Wow that's so pretty!
If you do end up making another I'd love some instructions.
I'm not talented (or patient!) enough to make one up as I go.
hehe.

Great work.

Yes, a K hook is a 6.5 mm hook. I am making a bright yellow bag, happy and sunny for spring.  Smiley

That should work fine.  I did this in simply soft which seems a little thinner than regular worsted  and ive done it in plain ol red heart worsted, and they both came out fine.

I really like it. I have a book with a pattern for a market bag and wanted to make it but totally forgot about it. I'm glad you reminded me! Smiley

I made two bags from this pattern.  The smaller one, I did according to the pattern.  The larger one, started out with an oval base before I crocheted the netting.  Then I did several more rows of netting before adding the two small handles. I didn't put the pocket on either one, but I might do that later on!

Great pattern!  I think I will make a few for Christmas gifts.

Cheers!
