these are so cute!  i love love love leg warmers and i've been needing some new ones...  thanks for the tute!
by the way, i have some of the "non streachy fabric" (with the swirlys on it) at home waiting to be made into a bag...

These are awesome! I've been meaning to knit myself a pair of legwarmers, but I've lacked the motivation to commit to another knitting project. Sewing a pair, now that's a great idea! It'll give me a chance to improve on my sewing machine skills and see if the buttonhole option on my (elderly) machine actually works! I love the way these look! I can't wait to prance around with my own pair of almost-spats! Awesome!!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!!!

What a fun idea - I totally have the 'russian shot putter' legs too - though I never called them that: it is a perfect description, basically it means I cannot wear bermuda shorts, EVER.  But I might have to try these anyway.  Thanks for the tute!
