I'm addicted to DDR. I need a 12-step program.

The Chicken
I made three (two for backups) and burned them all. After baking, I called them the three-piece chicken dinner, extra-crispy recipe. Roll Eyes I nearly pitched them, but then realized I could paint them (they burned to a funky olive color). I'm so glad you liked this, because I cannot believe what a pain in the neck it was!!! It was fun, though, and after years of avoiding polymer clay, I've finally tried it, and of course am now addicted. Roll Eyes Lesson learned: Do not try a new craft on a swap, especially one that's not terribly long! Duh. >.< I'm glad it was so perfect for you with your new chickens!

And here's a closeup:
Er, he kind of leans, doesn't he? He's not drunk, I swear! Wink If I remember right, I didn't have to paint the comb or the beak on this one. Hmm, perhaps I shouldn't have done a closeup - it's much cuter in person, or at least that's how I remember it. Smiley

The Doggie
I love the cell phone picture, because it doesn't show how lumpy its head is! ^_^ I saw dog toy squeakers at my new job at Petsmart, and  knew it'd be perfect for this swap. Smiley Unfortunately I didn't think to add stuffing around it until I was sending it off; thus the lumpy head. Sad

The pattern for the dog is here:

The Bag
"Critter" is such a good term, because before you get him all put together, the gray felt piece could be a cat or even a rabbit. But what he was originally intended to be (I made the pattern for the bento swap) was a Totoro (on a keychain in the first picture post for reference). Smiley I really, really wish that I'd had some chenille stems/pipecleaners or the right yarn, because I could have made it into a cat, which is more recognizable than Totoro (rent My Neighbor Totoro if you haven't seen it, because it's super kawaii!).

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

No, I haven't seen Totoro, but I have seen the characters, and I always thought they were adorable! I'll have to look up the show sometime.

I think you did a wonderful job on Chickie! He's just so wonderfully cute! Wink I never would have guess that he was burned... and i do like my chicken extra-crispy, so it's all gravy anyways.

Ha! All this talk about food is making me hungry...

Those chickens are SO CUTE! I grew up on a farm with chickens and ducks and horses, etc. We collected their eggs every day and I used to name them! Sometimes we'd buy new ones and raise them in a box in the house (hen groups apparently aren't very welcoming of strange chicks.) Awww, I miss themmmmm.

Awww!!  I was JUST about to post my pictures.  T_T  I missplaced my camera, like, right after I took them and just found it after a few days.  I have horrible luck.  xD;;

But yeah; I love everything KawaiiHolic gave me!  My favorite part of the package was the Gloomy Bear key chain

It's totally going on my purse right next to my plastic yellow Gloomy that's already residing there.  I recently showed my mom the story behind him so when I got the package and showed my mom it she said 'that's not a Gloomy Bear-- where's the blood?!' I pointed it out to her and she approved.  xD

And here's a kinda-action shot! >_<

I'm not trying to find a way to cordinate the necklace with an outfit now.  It's just so sweet.  :3

Again, thank you - both my partner for the gifts and cupcakeaccessories for putting together this swap!
