I finally finished my newest grandbaby's quilt. It's from a two fabric applique pattern by Pacific Rim Quilt Company http://www.prqc.com. I love these patterns.

Here's a picture of the front

And here's a picture of the back

I pieced the back with Japanese fabrics from a fabric exchange that we had in my quilt group. Elsa (almost six weeks old) seems to prefer this side of the quilt at this point.

This is fantastic!  Smiley

The penguin pattern is great for babies/children. And the Japanese fabrics are so colorful, which babies love!

Rockin'!

Cool!  Thanks for the link!  I've been looking at stained glass quilts for quite some time.  The two color applique is similar.  I like it!

Do you applique the white on the black, or the other way around?

Beautiful front on the quilt!

I also like the back and how you did the squares diagonal rather than straight across, makes it much more interesting.

I have wanted to try Hawaiian applique for a long time (I lived in Hawai'i two summers Shocked)  How are these patterns?  do they explain how to applique?  I am not sure how applique with curved things is going to work out for me and I just wanted to know if you thought these patterns were easy to use!
