I bought some needle felting needles the other day while buying yet more roving (I use it to make thrummed mittens like these )

And followed the tutorial up above on how to make the little felted balls or beads....

I have strung them on some narrow satin ribbon, and have decided that I am going to give them to a friend who is having Chemo to cheer her up

Another pic of the necklace

Then, feeling brave about making 3-D objects, I decided to have a go at a figure...  I already knew how to make a ball, so I made one of those, then a sausage for the body.  I joined the 2 together and then added some arms and hair.....

And I made 4 little people to give to my 4 girls - even the "big" one at 9 yrs old was thrilled with hers!

They are all around 2" tall btw - hand-sized for the youngest one, and perfect for slipping into a pocket.  Actually, they remind me of Jelly-babies  Cheesy

Love the colour of your beads and how you have embellished them - hope your friend enjoys them Smiley

I love the necklace, very nice colors and I think it must feel nice to the touch too.

These are terrific!  Is it hard?  I have some felt, just waiting for my felting needle to arrive, and can't way to try it out.
