I absolutely love that idea...
okay - so you put down a metal cookie cutter on a tray and put the beads inside - do they stick to the cookie cutter?  I have yet to do melted beads - I think my husband might kill me because of the odor.. I really should get a toaster oven somewhere and plug it in outside so I can partake in this trend!  I have boxes of pony beads that I will never use and have not thrown them away because I just can't part with something I paid decent money for!

I love this idea and can see the kids making all sorts of xmas ornaments and whatnot!

yeah i dont use my good toaster oven i got an old one from goodwill for like 3 bucks and i use it outside out tin foil on the bottom of the pan and then fill your cookie cutter up with beads and melt away...let them cool slightly but pop them out before they are cold!they look like glass and i have made every kind of ornament you can think of!

Brilliant!

I tried doing this once with wax (to make candles).  I do not recommend that  Wink

Hmm, I guess I'm gonna be needing a toaster oven now!

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I am definitely going to keep my eyes open for a good sized toaster oven now too - I used to have one that would hold a pie plate.  I really miss that toaster oven.  I should get one for my house here - I used it all the time at the old house.  My husband is a ninny.  he thinks it costs more to heat up a toaster oven than the big oven.. okay. not sure why he feels that way... Admittedly we do have a space issue here...
hmmm. maybe I can get one of the ones that mount under a cabinet... ooooh.. brain is scheming now!!

thanks for the info on how you make them.. I am going to put them on my todo list as soon as I acquire  a toaster oven!
