I use Palette 5.0 and Embird.  I draw my designs using Illustrator then move into Photoshop to make the line art.  Then I digitize it in Palette and Embird.  These are both awesome programs.

what makes it necessary to use 4 different design programs? I am looking at the different machines and software available at the moment and am sort of confused about the whole thing. 

anyone know anything about this software? http://embroideryi2.com/
