I just want to say that it isn't a gun...it is a machine...
tattoo machine. never tattoo gun.

Whats the difference?

not knowing what your talking about  Tongue
a professional calls it a machine, because thats what it is.
calling it a gun is like calling someones mother a wh*re, you just don't do it.

Not really. People call it different things, it's just personal preference. I know many artists who call it a machine and many who call it a gun.

Same here. My tattoo guy reffered to it as a gun, as did the shop owner.
I'm glad someone commented on this thread to make it pop up on my reply thingie; I was thinking about it last night and finally got one of the supplies needed to make one for myself but didn't really wanna search through all my posts to find this again hah.

My ex-bf and I made one like that when we were about 16, lol.  We actually gave a friend a tattoo with it, too.  Came out pretty well, all things considered.

That is so cool.  When I was in high school a guy made one from an old sewing machine.  Unfortunately he didn't have your sense to use it on fruit, and tattooed himself.  It wasn't good.

wow... sounds like my hs. haha.

i've always wanted to see one.
very cool!
