This skirt started out as squares for a patchwork apron. I realized that I already had an apron and could really use a skirt.

I used this pattern: http://www.jcarolinecreative.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=JC&Screen=PSKIRT and drafted my own fitted waist band, so it would be zippered rather than elastic.

All I did was make strips of squares a little longer than the tutorial suggests. It was pretty easy.
