I've got a hook and I'm not afraid to use it.

I just made a crocheted Max (of Sam and Max, a comic book and game) for my bf because he loves him. I started out with the amigurumi crochet dude pattern from crochetme, working with really big yarn, and he ended up huge! Luckily my bf seems to think that's cool. He's supposed to be a pretty crazy bunny, so I made him a face out of felt and gave him incredibly long arms and legs to keep the cartoonishness. I also wove a whole bunch of white pipecleaners through the ears to make them stand up. It all took about two nights watching movies, so it really wasn't much work. Anyway, here he is Smiley

Thanks! I left his legs and arms unstuffed so that he'd be very posable Smiley

wow, i love that bunny!
how did you add the pipe cleaners? was it after you had crocheted it all or during? (if that makes sense...)

Thanks Smiley I crocheted the ears first. Unlike the rest of the body, they're in half double crochet, so there are pretty big holes. When they were done, I wove the pipe cleaners in through the holes. Lots of pipe cleaners. Pipe cleaners, incidentally, are far sharper and vicious than I had remembered Wink It's a very fuzzy white yarn, so they don't really show at all.
