My boyfriend and I just did a 12 day long maths course and we wanted to thank the teacher, so we decided to make him a Rubik's Cube from origami. It's all modular origami, where you make several small modules and join them together (no glue, just clever folds). This cube has 26 little cubes in it, each made from 6 modules. That's 156 modules and 936 folds!

The cube:

And it opens to reveal a card!

The teacher loved it  Smiley

Thanks for all the replies!  Cheesy

Ruby_soho, it took quite a while to make. Maybe a weekend, working on it on and off. Two people were making it, which made it quicker.
