ok, so i'm not really sure where to post these so here seemed like a good idea, sorry if it's wrong and they would go better somewhere else! =)

well, on my son's birthday we realized that we didn't have a happy birthday sign, and clearly since it was his first birthday, he positively needed one. so of course to craftster i went for ideas! and i found vintagebluestudio's christmas gremlins and decided what to do! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=209815.0 and thus was born the birthday monsters:

and now it it my nephew's birthday, he loves trains. but a PAPER thomas the tanke engine happy birthday sign is $5! which i think is a rip off cause it's only paper and not that great. and so i decided any train would do and i made him a birthday sign too!

my son likes both so far and my nephew liked the monster one, but he isn't here yet so i don't know how he will like the train one, something tells me he will point and jump around and yell CHOO CHOO!!! and by the way, these are a great way to use up any insane amount of felt you are hourding. ^_^

Those are so cute.  I like the monsters but I know my son would have loved the train one when he was little.

they're really easy to make, just cut out 2 sides of each and then glue some yarn in between and decorate as you please, i did it all with hot glue.
