You might check with Hancock Fabrics. I think they have listings of classes in the area. Other than that I don't know of any, but I'm looking around, too.

Members of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Sewing Guild often are willing to teach people to sew. Check out www.asgatl.org to find out more.

Even though it's actually a yarn shop, Knitch offers sewing class that goes over the basics of making an a-line skirt.  It's only one session though.

Down on Peachtree, at Beehive Co-op, I teach a whole huge range of sewing classes and workshops in a very cool artists' co-op environment.  We're revamping the space and offering fabric and supply sales beginning in May, too!  Check out the site for links and more info:

Hope to see you soon!

I have taken this class and is was wonderful.  I would have liked to have had one more day with it though.

I've taken classes at Whipstitch in Midtown Atlanta.  The classes may seem a little pricey but the class size was small and I thought they taught a ton of great skills.

Hello! We are the Atlanta Institute of Stitches & Crafts and offer a wide range of sewing classes, from beginning sewing to advanced workshops. Our schedule changes monthly (though we always have Intro to Sewing scheduled) and are taught by expert sewers. For more information, please visit www.stitchesandcrafts.com!
