Haroldlovesmaude: I can't believe that paper is storebought, it lookes like you hand-painted it. I also really like your penholder idea--great use of ribbon all around!

Jennickell: I really like that paper that's mixed in with the blank pages-the patterns are quite unique

Really impressive so far ladies, was this the first time you two made books?

ya, and I really just winged it, and it turned out pretty well. The other one, I remember when I was a kid my mom sewed book covers for my school books, so that is where I got the idea from.

Are your journals fabric covered Kartiana?

Yeah, The green is a fabric cover and the other one I believe is fabric (or paper that feels like fabric). I forgot to mention, the pictures make the green one look part yellow but in real life it is a light green.

kartiana - i am so happy you like them. The one with the book mark, that is basically just a book cover, so when you fill that one up, just find another journal that size and you can use that cover for it (I found that one at the dollar store, I think it is a pretty standard size you can find just about anywhere).

Thats a great idea! Thanks, I will probably do that! I just love the feel of fabric, I am very tactile (I think thats the term) and love a good texture.

I hope you like the textures I used on yours, or the colors if you aren't crazy like me  Tongue

That journal is amazing! Is the owl embroidered? If so, that's an incredible amount of work.
