Not all who wander are lost

I found I needed a bit of support for my back and shoulders while knitting/reading/sewing/crochet/watching tv on the sofa. I remembered a support pillow that my nan had, and thought- i'll make me one of those devils.

I used some cotton knit fabric I got from the local overpriced fabric shop on sale for 1 a metre, folded it in half, sewed along the edges and put a zipper in. (The pillow its stuffed with is made from some curtain lining I found in my stash and the insides of three pillows I got from my mum but didnt have use for).

Its only when I put the zip in (first time zipper, I was so excited I called my nan!) I realised he needed a face. So a ribbon from a Lush package became his tongue (knotted onto the zipper), circles cut from felt became his eyes and some wonky triangles became his teeth.

Let me introduce Harry. He can be folded in half to be used as a footstool, or propped up behind me to support my shoulders and back, cuddled in bed when my other half is away and used as a rockinghorse by small children.

Dreadful pic, but you get the idea.

That's awesome!! It reminds me of an episode of the Muppet show where the furniture eats people!
