i wanted to try it for ages and yesterday i finally did it: hand-dyed my first sock yarn with easter egg colour... it was much more difficult than i thought to get a smooth colourway.
i'm really curious to see how it will look in sock form. Grin but i'll have to be patient because i need to do two other pairs of socks before i can give this yarn a go Undecided

what do you think?!

I think it looks great! I've only dyed yarn with kool-aid, the results were terrible and I was to ashamed to post them...Sad But now I know what I am buying after the easter eggs dye goes on sale!! The colors you used look very rich!!

thanks Smiley

i'd love to try kool aid, but you don't get it in the shops here in germany. maybe i'll buy some at ebay... the colour choice with easter egg colours is very limited. i just had blue, green, yellow, red and purple...

I remember some weird like styrofoam-like candy I when I was there...wish I could remember the name of it...anyway, PM me if you're interested in a trade! I love dying with Kool Aid, beautiful colors and smells great too! Smiley

Very pretty.  It's always interesting to see how the colors knit up.  Smiley That's the best part of dyeing yarn.
