My brother seems to think I have a slight obsession with 50s style dresses and thinks I should "expand my horizons" and do another style! How rude!?! I like 50s style and 50s style likes me so I'm just gonna keep on churning them out.

Anyway I bought this fabric on the net from a US based site. I wanted to make view A of McCall's M5095 but I didn't have enough for the fuller skirt and as I was too excited to buy any more and wait for it to be delivered I decided to change the skirt and used the skirt from New Look's 6557. I also shortened it a tad.

Here's the results:

Close up of bodice:

I decided to leave off the straps as I think it looks better without. It's not elasticated at the top but it fits perfectly so there's no slipping down Cheesy

Very cute!  Tell your brother he's crazy, you keep churning out adorable little 50's numbers.

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.
