Well, after 3 years of living in my house, I finally got around to making over my guest room.  I have to say it turned out just how I wanted it to.  It is a bit shabby and a bit chic.

Before:

If you wanna play a little game, you can play "where's the kitty?"

Pardon the mess. I let the room "go" about a week before the makeover.

ahem...pardon the rum and coke too.  Wink

After:

It is amazing what a few coats of paint can do along with some new mini blinds!  I think I am going to re-do my craft room next!

It's amazing what a little paint can do to pull a room together.  The madeover room looks great - you should be proud of yourself.

I found her, I found her!  She looks so startled!  Cheesy

Great color--I can't get over what a difference the new paint makes.  And I think I'm in love with your sofa!  Could I have it for being the first to find the kitty?  Wink

She does look a little startled doesn't she!  The sofa has been passed around my family for years and I was lucky enough to end up with it!

Thanks so much! I actually came up with the makeover myself. It turned out better than I could have imagined!  I picked the wall color based on the color of the sheets on the bed (underneath the comforter) and I thought the color would look nice on the wall. I have been fortunate enough to have most of the furniture in that room handed down to me.
