black and pink zippered purse

I had a long three day weekend (i love u martin luther king jr.) and decided i was going to make a purse.  I got and inspiration from this craftster post and made my own pattern from a pink aeropostale bag (shown below) i got for christmas from a friend.  I was really exited because i haven't made a purse in about a month, and i had never sucessfully made a purse with a zipper before-but i got it done and i think it turned out pretty well.  the fabric i used was black denim (i think) for the outside and pink satin-ney stuff for the inside. the pattern i made had three main parts- the front, the side, and the bottom.  i sewed some zig zag lines on the two fronts (if that makes sense). i did all of the lines black except for one pink line in the middle, and then i added some pink buttons and a gold button to match with the zipper on one side.  i also added a pocket on the side which would be perfect for a cell phone (if i had one). I think in total it took me about six or seven hours-which i think is a long time for a purse- but it was worth it!

To give it stability i used batting on the outside fabric and interfacing on the inside fabric.  i thought about selling my purse, but i spent too much time on it and was attached to it, plus i messed up a bit on the zipper and i don't think it looks good enough to sell.

umm i'd SOOO buy that purse! It's absolutely adorable.. I am somewhat of a purse freak. Currently I own 23 and am looking to expand. LOL. I'd buy it from you coughsellitcough
