How is Saturday, February 12 for everyone? Or should we make it sooner? We talked last time about meeting at Coffee Talk in Mesa because there is more room there.

i would rather meet sooner, but i guess it depends on everyone's schedules.  chris is right - gold bar gets cramped, and coffee talk would work better. (hopefully we can get that little room in the front!)

any other ideas for a meeting place where we can "spread out" more, but still be comfy (and a little noisy)?  Smiley

Sure, we can get together sooner too! I just wanted to schedule a Saturday meeting plenty of time ahead so more people (like goddess!) can make it.

What week nights do you have open for in-between crafty fun? Tuesday nights are often good for me.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet sooner too!  I am available in the evenings, but not too late-- my bedtime is so early these days...Smiley

Feb 12 works for me.  I am also open on Feb 5.

coffee plantation on mill ave is another good place to meet. i've meet a few groups there before for other things and it's definitely big enough to spread out. Smiley

bonnie=> yay, you're alive! Smiley

goddess=> i pm'ed this to you, but just in case anyone else needs it: coffee talk is at 48 north robson street in mesa.  this website shows a pic: http://www.sean-kapera.com/coffeetalk.html

we usually meet around 9:30 or 10 am and stay until noon or 1:00...?  i don't wear a watch so that's just a guess.

you should stick around for the day because the roller derby is the same night!  that is, if you're into chicks on skates beating each other up. (who isn't?!)

Awwww..  You guys are the greatest!  Thanks for waiting until the 12th...and hey, I'd love to go this Fiber Factory...because what I really need right now is a new craft and new supplies YEAH!  Hopefully Katiegirl will come too.  We can't wait to meet you, Goddess.  Tinafish, we want to hear all about the wedding plans and hey, which of you craftsters went in to Passage?  Sarah told me that "my friends" were in.  I'm like...oh, which friends?  I have SO MANY!  Take care! laura=> that was me & ellen that talked to sarah @ passage.  she was super nice.

tina=> i definitely want to see your wedding folder.  i bet you've got a lot of fantastic ideas!

bonnie=> i agree!  i hate sports, but i like watching hockey.  sadly, i'm not going that night because there's a show that i want to check out: polysics w/i hate you when you're pregnant and peachcake!  but i'll definitely make it to roller derby next month.  i'm bummed out because the surly gurlies are skating and joan threat is my all-time fav!  so anyone who goes, please scream your lungs out for her on my behalf.

from tinafish: "i dont know if you guys all know, but kontrive.. www.kontrive.com....is closing soon."

i heard about that from their mailing list.  it is really sad.  i haven't been in much since they changed the store, but it's a great place.  the email said they'd only be open until february 19th. Cry  i definitely recommend people check it out while it's still around (the physical store).  everything is 20% off this week.  next week will be 30%, then 40%.  after that it's all online.

it was great seeing everyone yesterday, and i really enjoyed meeting our newest "members"!  i had a lot of fun, but i realized later on that we forgot to take a picture. (i even had my camera with me)  bummer.

some of us walked over to fiber factory afterward.  there was so much to look at, i need to go back and spend more time there.  later on ellen and i ran into carol over at s.a.s.  that place is fantastic!

tina, kaitlin, christine, amy and stephanie- you were missed!  i hope to see you next time.

Aw man - you guys went to SAS?!?!  That place is my favorite!  The Tempe store is the cleanest, brightest and most organized - I'll bet you had a blast.  What did you buy?  Could we meet at Coffee Talk again next time and then have a field trip to Fiber Factory and SAS?  I'd love that!
