I like my skirts poofy, thank you.

So, I was at school one day, going through the wonderful bin of leftover fabric in the costume shop (aptly titled the WonderBin) when I came across AT LEAST 4 yards of this stuff:

So, after lots of pleating (which I am OBSESSED with now), lots of ripping fabric (I didn't draw or even use a pattern, I just measured the width of each strip, ripped and sewed them all together,) and a bit of unpicking, I came out with this wonderful, poofy tiered skirt:

I'm fond of it. I'm very happy that Texas weather is so crazy (it's going to be 80 degrees on Monday, yet it's only about 50 now.) so that I can wear it soon.

Unfortunately, because of my over pleating in the front, it's rather flat in the back since...there are no pleats there:

But it's all good. It has an elastic waistband, and there was no hemming, as I just took an extra strip, folded it, and sewed it on the bottom. I HATE hemming.

Now, I have no idea what to do with the REST OF THIS STUFF!

Thoughts?

Use some of the leftover fabric with a bit of solid fabric in one of the colors from the pattern, and use both to make a cute matching clutch.  Awesome skirt!

i suggest use another colour fabric (best to be a solid colour) and use both fabrics and make a dress

poofy skirts are WAY better than any other type of skirt haha
i like it a lot and the fabric is amazing!
