Made this little set for my goddaughter from the same fabric as my newest purse. Micheal Miller I think. Bottoms are from the Spring issue of Ottobre and the top is just a little simplicity top. I really don't like where the buttonhole placement is next time I will put it lower where I think it should be not where the pattern says. I do love the bottom of the little pants and applique, it should fray a bit in the wash I hope. It does have heatnbond on it so it should not fray too much. I feel like the little top needs something extra, maybe a little rick rack on bottom?

It was my first try making and using it in this manner. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Though I did loose some of the gathering in one side but it's hard to tell unless you're looking I think. Thanks everyone!

That is beautiful!!  I love the colors and the applique is perfect.  I think ric rack would look really great along the bottom of the shirt.  Lime green perhaps?

Either way, it's really good.

It is perfect!  I love the colors in it.  It doesn't need anything else on it.  Great Job!
