I finished this yesterday.  It's a birthday gift for my mom.  I didn't want to make her a doll for fear that it would end up in the grandkids toybox, so I made her a maintenance free plant for her window.   There was no pattern--I made it up as I went--it was pretty easy.  I love this strata yarn--I've been using it on everything lately.  The spikes on the dark green cactus are hemp cord.  I can't wait to give it to her!

And here is a picture of my first two amigurumi I ever made--I found them when I was cleaning the other day.  I remember being so excited when I discovered amigurumi!  It's developed into a full-blown addiction. Smiley

That's amazing. I bought a crochet kit to teach myself how to crochet, & I can do chains amazingly, but to go down to the next row, now I haven't figured that out. ): It's rather embarrassing. It's hiding on my desk right now because I've been studying. But these are so cute, maybe when I actually LEARN how to go down, I can make cute stuff like this. Cheesy (one reason for wanting to learn to crochet)

This is sooo cute!!!!  I know she will love it!!!!!

I am learning too colourandy.  I just bought a kit too.  If you go to YouTube there are videos on amigurumi that show you how to go in the round.  I am currently learning.  I get mad and then i put it down and come back to it. LOL.  It is frustrating at first.

Oh my gosh, this is too cute!  I love cacti - my mom, however, has a personal vendetta against the plants.  My dad had a massive cactus that she "put outside for some fresh air" while he was away on business - in December!  Haha, she says it started it by stabbing her every time she watered it.

Regardless of the tangent, that is an awesome amigurumi.  Yes it is.  =)
