The Giant Multi-Theme Swap **SENDOUTS NOW JUNE 9TH!!!**

Ooh, I'm really tempted! One question~the way the requirements are set up, that has to match up exactly the way that people have listed their themes? So whatever someone lists as their "theme 1" has to be the six smalls? Like if athenamat was my partner, and her number 1 had been retro housewife and I really wanted to make a retro apron, but I would be stuck with fulfilling the 6 smalls requirments? Or can we decide which theme can go with which requirement?

I was kind of hoping when I just now saw this in the new swap theme ideas that people would actually be giving like 8 themes, then I would pick the 5 I felt I could craft the best. I'm just concerned that I'll get some themes that I feel like I can't interpret somehow! Also it might depend on how specific themes are I guess. Like in the altoid swap you get several themes your partner likes and then pick the one you want to do. But that might be a good challenge to do all of the exact ones given!  Sorry for the babble!

I signed up earlier today. I had a hard time coming up with 5 themes, but I'm really easy to please! I'm just not good at labeling things. Here's what I ended up with...
Theme 1: Corduroy
Theme 2: Faeries and Gnomes
Theme 3: Black
Theme 4: Woodland Creatures
Theme 5: Kawaii

Ok, I had to send in the questionaire! I hope my themes aren't too specific or difficult, I had trouble narrowing it down to just 5, so on some of them they are kinda this or that.

In any order:

Theme 1: The movie Clueless AND/OR The Goonies
Theme 2: Old school nintendo (NES), Mario or Zelda! (fave is circa Ocarina or time/Majora's mask or Link to the Past)
Theme 3: gerbera daisies (or wildflowers for a less specific theme)
Theme 4: Classic Literature (I have an English degree, except Walt Whitman or Jane Austen) OR Gone With the Wind
Theme 5: Greece (the country, the food, mythology)

it's up to your partner to choose which set of items they craft for each theme. that way if they are more unsure about it, they could pick to do all smalls which might be easier for them. but the challenge is all part of the fun right?

I really like the idea of this swap but there are some swap themes I just wouldn't know what to do with

I'm thinking about this swap...I think it's a great idea, but would it be acceptable to list more than five themes and let my partner choose which five he/she wanted to do?

You could also do what me and another swapper did by listing sort of choices

like I put birds, then listed various birds I like

or she did clueless and/or goonies ;o

I have a great idea for Goonies btw   I am so excited about how this swap is going to push our creative thoughts a lot.  And there's plenty of time to think too.

I'm trying to make my themes pretty broad, so my partner can have some latitude in crafting.  We also have a really long time, so I feel confident that I can really research my partner's themes, even if I don't know about them.  I have never made anything kawaii before, but I'd love to try it out!  Normally I'm in swaps where I make things that I already love or know about...this one stretches you a bit!  I can't wait to sign up!
