Awesome!  When I saw the "happy bunny" title, I was worried that it would be related to that dumb cartoon bunny that says things like "You smell like doodoo" and "It's all about me" and other ripped off catchphrases.
I love the rainbow ears!

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

So I took pics and stuff while making one of these for my mom. Let me know if something doesn't make sense so I can fix it!

Its super simple! You start out by measuring your head. Around and from front to back. Divide the around length by 4 and the front to back by 2. Using those measurements make a template thingy(don't forget seam allowances!)

Cut four out of fleece. With right sides together sew them together to make 2 half circles.

Now decide how long you want your ears and draw out a rough outline on your fleece. when you are happy with the size and shape of the ears, cut out 2 of the hat fabric and 2 out of the cute ear fabric.

Sew together, turn inside out and sew along the outside edge.

Pin the two hat pieces together with the ears sandwiched in between. Sew and try on your head to make sure it fits.

Almost done! Cut out a strip of fleece that is twice as wide as you want the band on the bottom of the hat to be and a little bit longer than the circumference of your head. Fold in half and sew the ends together, check on your head to make sure it fits. It should be comfortably snug.

Fold in half(the other way) and pin to the bottom edge of your hat. Sew it on and you are done!

I would love to see pics if someone makes one of these!

Good hat! I have been trying to make my dd a bunny hat and have made three oddly shaped lumps of cloth with bunny ears. Argh. I think your little tute is going to help me finally accomplish it. Thanks!

OHHHHHHH I totally want one!  Thanks for the tut.  I must start making mine!!!!

One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep. The great eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire, ash, and dust. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume.......
