Woot! I got my wheel (Ashford Elizabeth) for 75$ two wednedays ago... the first yarn to come off my wheel is this hand dyed wool (Not dyed by me, but by the gal who sold me the wheel!):

I set the twist with some nifty help from you guys here, this is only singles...

Here's my next batch. I got this big bag of goodies from my neighbor (who's double car garage is full of fiber!), this is an experiemnt in dyeing (of hers) with mohair and silk (and some other wool that has a special name that I forgot!)
Anyway, it was tricky to say the least. All those fibers and their different [insert vocab word] fiber length! ACK! Anyway, I plied some and kept some singles:

Here it is plied:

Thanks for looking! Can you tell I'm stoked!?!?!?!

I LOOOOVVVEEE spinning! I am so obsessed! There is some fiber thing going on that my super cool neighbor is taking me to, where we get to pick a sheep and they will sheer it and I get to walk away with the wool still warm! This weekend we are going to have a little front yard tute on dyeing! YAY!

She just sent me home with some more goodies... she told me she is at her SABLE time (Supplies Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy) and that her options are to either A) stop buying and accumulating fiber and other goodies OR B) make some room for more!
So, I am the blessed recipient of a stack of spin off magazines, hemp fiber, some tops and something she carded with angelina, silk, and mohair... it is beautiful! I'm getting ready to fill a bobbin right now!!! Cheesy

PS~ the house on the other side of me is for sale! Come on over!
