My daughter wanted me to make her a bag so we went fabric shopping and this is what she picked.  We came up with a design together and here's the result:

The next is a copy of a reuseable shopping bag I saw at Target.  I broke down and spent the .99 so I could figure out how to make it! Wink

What do you think?  Comments always appreciated!

Yes, it is.  She wanted a quilted bag so I sandwiched the fabric, quilt batting and the heavy weight interfacing.  I used a ruler to draw the grid pattern on the interfacing and went to town with my sewing machine!  It's easy, but time consuming and uses a lot of thread!

Love them!

I bought that same bag from Target with the same intent!  I, however, haven't tackled it yet.  Looks like you did a great job!

Thanks!  It was suprisingly easy.  Of course, I took the Target bag apart as soon as I got home and then didn't get around to making one right away, so it took a little while to figure out how it all went together again!

That first bag is so sweet and I'm sure your daughter loves it.  Great colors in it, too.  And that second one is fantastic also!
