I decided to make a fun messenger bag to take on a recent trip to Sweden so I would have something to hold all my toiletries on the plane (in case my luggage didn't make it, you know?)...I modeled it after my man-purse, (which my friend brought with him on the same trip), I just made mine bigger 'cause I'm a girl...
I was going to make it a solid colored canvas, but when I saw this fabric, I knew I must have it!!

a big pocket for the back:

many little pockets inside. I would've thought them out more but I am lazy and was in a hurry...:

and an adjustable strap (my first):

and here it is in blurred action running through Charles DeGaulle Airport in Paris (we only had a few minutes to change planes):

Hope you like it! Thanks for lookin'!  Grin

Such an awesome bag. I hope to make a messenger bag someday soon. I really love that fabric.

What a pretty bag!  I love the floral print.  Did you do a square-bottomed bag, or a "box" with side panels?  The last pic really shows the size well, which looks great, btw!  Nice work!!  Cheesy

Thanks! The sides and bottom are all one loooong piece of fabric. I just cut a little notch where I want to make a corner turn. I hope that makes sense...
