So this idea came from here...
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=226651.0
I didn't get to make one for Valentine's day, but I did make one for my mom who is trying to quit smoking.

Here are a few examples of my book.  Thanks for the previous posters for all the great ideas.

and my favorite

Awww!  It's so sweet that you made that for your mom, and even more so that you're doing it to help her deal with the quitting process.  My grandpa quit three or four times; obviously, staying quit (quitted?) is the tough part.  Wink  Way to rock!

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

I LOVE that, I am so stealing it.
My work went smoke free over a year ago and we still have quit a few people who are still avid smokers, this would be a great gift to help incourage them to keep trying to quit.

I might have to do this for my mom as well. I quit 2 years ago (19Feb06) and now my mother is trying to quit. This might just help!

This is great, its nice of you to make for your mom!

I really want to make some of these and slip them under the doors of some of the smokers who live on my hall - of course, they're not *trying* to quit so it might be mean.  o.O

Great work on this! I'm glad my project was able to inspire you to do something that really helps your mom out. I hope it's going well for her... you might need to make her multiple books of ideas to get through it all. Smiley

This is really nice. You sure make a lot of things for your mom huh? Wish I was your mom...but then again I would smoke. Tell her good luck on her journey to breaking her addiction.
These stories are what made me quit cold Turkey.

I know your mom's children are grown obviously but I have a 2 and 4 yr old who mean the world to me and I couldn't imagine causing them the pain of living without a mother.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.  And my mom is having a really hard time and I'm sure will continue to struggle but I'm proud of her for trying!
I do make a lot of stuff for my mom, before craftster she was pretty much the only one that seemed to appreciate hand made items b/c she also enjoys making stuff.  Now that I've experienced swaps on craftster plus have seen so many great ideas, I have branched out.
