Mexico! Thailand! You simply must join. (Well.. shipping can be an issue, I know!)

Mexico has great folk things - lots of people here love Mexican things! (Loteria, Dia de Los Muertos.... and more!)

Good advice about the co-organizer. I won't be leaving you guys (I'm addicted to craftster too much to mess it up by abandoning a swap!), but it's not a bad idea at all. Any volunteers? (For this I guess you'd basically just make your own lists of participants/claims/sends/received to shadow mine, in case there's a mix up - this swap does get tricky!) doxiemommy said she'd be interested in the idea thread, but I haven't spoken to her since... I'll PM her to see.

AND I'll be posting my list momentarily, once I clear everyone who's PM'd me!

Yeah! Please join everyone, but beware of shipping costs. It is expensive!

Still working on some stuff, but I've got the simplest part of my getting participants finished!

I'm psyche (Jess), and I've been approved (since I AM the organizer...). I'm from Canada, though I live less than an hour from the US border, so a lot of US things I can get easily here! But here's an extremely general list of areas I wouldn't mind receiving from!

1. Europe... I love things in other languages (and I read French and German), either for reading or just to have! I'm also backpacking Western Europe for 2 months in September, so anything that might help me is greatly desired!

2. Asia.. anything that we can't really get here, from stuff in your language, to kawaii things, to traditional things!

3. Mexico (or US near the border?) - yep, I'm a fan of Loteria, Dia de Los Muertos, and general Mexican folk stuff!

4. South America - anything that represents your culture...

5. Ireland - just got my citizenship, and am waiting on my passport! (Any Proud-to-be-Irish stuff or even semi-tacky shamrock stuff would be super fun!)

6. Within US "special areas" - I'd love anything from New Orleans (I always had a dream to live in the city one day), I love the idea of the bright lights and casinos in Las Vegas, and would like anything truly Texan, since it seems so different from here!

7. Northern Canada (or Alaska maybe too?) - if anyone from the territories joins, I'd love some traditional Inuit and general Northern things, including handicrafts!

8. Any country other than my own... really! Smiley

I do actually love learning about any other cultures, I love other languages, and I love food! Ha. (Chocolate, candy... other random things that you are able to ship... all are welcome!). I also collect stamps (the postage ones!), and I'm into fashion magazines, or even better, ALTERNATIVE fashion magazines (but sorry, we have all the American ones here!)...

I would like to claim psyche for European stuff!

I, militant pacifist, having PM-d the organizer and been approved, I am from the Netherlands and this is my first claim. My list of countries I would like to receive from:

1. USA: I would like candy (but not the ones with peanut butter or chocolate/peanuts combined stuff plz)), Kool Aid.. (i'm going to Malawi for 3 months this summer and i would like to have something light and easy to carry, to make great drinks), cupcake/brownie supplies, BUST magazine, anything craft related, especially scrapbook stuff, i want to organise my photos and scrapbooking stuff is very *unfunky* and boring and expensive over here. Gilscout cookies must be amazing I heard...
3. African countries, alltough I don't think there are any participants here.... Since I'm going to stay in Malawi in the summer to do my internship in pediatrics, I would love anything African of things that will come in handy for that trip. But this is a very small Chance I will meet someone from Africa here....
2. UK - Craft magazines, Victorian postcards, candy (curly wurly and other caramel stuff), stuff from Habitat.
3. Mexico - anything day of the dead!!!, nice colorful postcards, craft stuff.
4. Scandinavia - all kinds of winterly things, kinda out of season, but I DO love Christmas.
5. Any other country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a real sucker for music, so mixtapes of any country would be fun. I like singer-songwriter stuff, indie and rock, but I'm open to anything else. I love to cook, especially now I got my kitchen fixed, so local recipes would be great, or kitchen utensils.
More things i like: different kinds of unique fabrics or (wrapping/scrapping)paper, foreign paper money (but don't spend a fortune Tongue), boardgames, maps (love maps!!!!! ). I can't get any kind of cast resin over here, but I would like to try it. I love all kinds of ribbons or trims, buttons, beads.

I'm decorating my house ( a long ongoing project) and would like stuff that is fun and craftsy for it. I like lots of things: random things that come into mind are picture frames, cushion covers, kabinet door handles.....
Sand, sea shells, driftwood or other nature things... i love them. Also a big fan of birdhouses or garden stuff.

I have a weird thing for found shopping lists, whenever i find one i keep it and I'm planning to frame a collection of them. So shopping lists in foreign languages would be so amazing!!

Cosmetics are my craving, I love a good shade of eyeshadow or your favorite kind make up.

As stated above: I'm almost a doctor, and like little books or utensils or other medical stuff as well.

All of the above is pretty specific, but I'm open to a lot of stuff! So don't worry! I like anything that is typical for your country.
