I've been busy!  No modeling from Little One yet...

I think I'm going to rethink this one - I know the ribbon is too thin, but it was all I had - I'm thinking I'm going to change it to have elastic in the casing like the other two and see if I can find a thicker ribbon - I'm just worried about the whole drawstring hazard.

And Thomas - because they just don't make Thomas clothes for girls...grrr...

Thanks for looking!

Love them all, but the Thomas the Train one is my favorite.  I think you're onto something. Grin

Love them! I've been trying to make a pillowcase dress for my little girl but I am having a devil of a time with the armholes and the bias tape. What's the secret? I want them to look as nice as yours. Smiley

Love the Thomas dress! Why don't they make girly train fabric?!? My tyke's loving choo choos and engines in general.

For the pillowcase dresses, I use these two tutes/patterns -
http://www.everythingsewing.net/pillowcase_dress_how_to.htm

http://www.andersonsplace.net/sewing/pillow_case_dress.htm

When I was making them last year, I came across another site that strongly recommended using elastic through the top and then the bias tape on the sides so that it wasn't a drawstring type finish b/c of choking...and of course I can't find it now... Anyways, I use the wide double bias tape and I put the "pillowcase" fabric in between and then I zigzag stitch it, with the needle down so I can go slowly and move it carefully.  It also helps to pin it every inch or so - it's a pain, but it's worth it.

Thanks for the comments on the Thomas dress - it's one of my favorite dresses too - she's gotten a lot of compliments on it when she's worn it - a mother at the aquarium even commented - "I think I've found my future daughter-in-law."  LOL!

Ugh, I knew you were going to suggest pinning it.  Wink

Thanks for the tip!
