Lots of resin jewelry! [IMG CRAZY]

I love resin, I really, really do. These are some things I've made lately, that I never got around to posting. I really like comments/criticism because I'm fairly new at working with resin, and I think I need to make some improvements.


This is a necklace I made for my friend Justin, Its a cupcake I cut from a Hello Kitty valentine card, with purple glitter.


The apple is kind messed up, I didn't seal the picture very well before putting it in the resin. The flower I had drew/colored and actually wear that necklace a lot.


The bird one I made for a friend, and the image is from deviant art. It is not my own artwork, I'm probably infringing someone copyright by making that, but I'm not selling it or anything so I feel ok about it. lol The heart is purple resin with purple glitter

the bird is my fave!  kinda funny, i have a heart that my mom gave me from a trip a couple years ago carved out of blue goldstone and it looks just like your piece made from resin!

I'm debating on which I like the best---the cupcake one or the flower. They are all really cute! Great job!

The flower I actually drew on a piece of one of those 3x5 notecards, with the lines on the other side. I believe I sealed it with tacky glue.

I'm new to resin too. I made my first necklace ever way back on 2.4.08. Haha. I wear it all the time because I'm smitten with it. I am currently unable to make more pendants/keychains right now due to the weather. It's cold out.  Resin shatters if you make something with it while the temperature is below 40 degrees. I'm going to go nuts. Darn weather.

Does it really shatter? Thats never happened to me, and its been lower than 30 most of the winter. Michigan is a bad state for winter crafting.

I LOVE your flower!

I think it may depend on the type of resin you use, how it reacts to cold.  I'm using polyester resin and it just clouds up and takes an eternity to set if it's too cold.  I know it can crack if you add too much catalyst.
