eep!  care bears!  stars!  pink corduroy!  all so cute.  here's another bag i made...much bigger and with handles and with an inner zippered pocket, but i basically used these steps [and had to rip it apart when i realized, oops, i shoulda sewed the handles in at that step...  and then i did the square bottom corners and a snazzy stencil and voila!  [well...not so voila...more like many hours later, haha.]  let me say that this was one of the most troublesome things i've made...not sure why since it's pretty straightforward and sewing in straight lines but argh!  anyway, all done now and i'm pleased enough with the result.

Here's my very first zipper pouch. It's not quite straight but I'm pleased, and a really like the fabric! I plan using it for my makeup. The flower is made from felt and the middle circle is slightly stuffed to make it more 3 dimensional.

I tried this over the weekend (my first zipper ever!!) and had problems opening and closing the zipper because the fabric kept getting stuck in the pull on the inside. I think I need to top stich the fabric after pressing.
