Thanks for the tutorial - I knew what to do, but couldn't get my mind to see the process... haven't done this kind of lined bag for a while.  I didn't see the answer to YOUR question - so here's what I do so the slipstiched side of the bag doesn't show:  I leave the open spot to pull everything through on side of the lining. Then I stitch the lining and push it all inside where it belongs.  There isn't any way to do this other than leaving that spot we have to pull through, so it might as well be on the inside instead of the outside.
