Thanks for the tute!  These pouches are so much fun to make and a great beginner's project to show that zippers are not our enemies!
The application is good for other times too.  I'm making the travel wallet from crafster and that links this tute for using the same method to make a right-hand side pocket with a zipper.

Thanks for this tutorial!  I've actually been wanting to make something like this and didn't know how to go about it.

Thanks for the TUTE~!~! Kiss

I had attempted this once before with a disastrous outcome...ick...and I have some lovely scraps that I got from a "freebie" off of Craig's List that will be PERFECT for this type thing.

New to Craftster...but not new to crafting - been doing that since I was a little chicadee in Brownies...LOL  Just getting back into crafting after a three year hiatus and some medical problems...so I came here and in a week, I now have the following crafts "on the books..."

1.  make lip balm
2.  make cuticle jelly
3.  make hand salve
4.  make soap
5.  make lots of zippy things (cuz im ocd that way - i MUST have one in all the colors possible)
6.  make 2 comforters out of the scraps (from above mentioned freebie)

woo hoo!

I don't fit in a box, round hole, or any slot that you want to put me in. I am unique, intelligent, funny, passionate, beautiful, spirited and kind. I'm a lover, not a fighter, but will fight when pushed too far. I'm a puzzle it might take you years to figure out, if you can. I am an enigma.

Hi Erica!

I am sure you get tons of thank you notes for this awesome tutorial!!!! Please add mine to the count.

This was my first zippered anything - I couldn't have done it without you.

Since I'm fairly new to craftster, I'm including a link to my pix:

Thank you for this tutorial.  I have been sewing for quite a long time and have always struggled with zippers.  Not anymore, thanks to you.  The first one I tried using thi method turned out perfect!

I always have one big problem with making bags:

the inner fabric always seems to be a little too big. Do I have to cut out difference sizes ? One for the outer lining and one for the inner?
