This was a great tutorial and a fantastic help as I embarked on my first solo sewing project. My first draft didn't come out so well but I blame that on the abominable heat. And the second one was perfect! Thank you so much e.r.i.k.a!

Ok so I am finally posting a zipper pouch I've made with this tutorial:



I have made many before this and they just haven't worked out for me but now I think I've finally worked out how to make corners that look, well, corner-ish.  I have given up on the little zipper end cover thinggies I was so intent on as I have seen amny cute pencil cases and zipper pouches etc. around in shops without them and just the metal zipper stops hanging out for all to see and I've decided that looks ok as long as everything is nice and neat.

Unfortunately I felt the need to photograph this particular zipper pouch at an artistic angle so you can't see the corners terribly well in this picture.  But of course I plan to make more and will take some better pics so you can see the corners.

What I did was, at Step 9, sew up the sides and across the zipper about half a cm or so past the end of the zipper and the zipper stops so that when you turn it inside out the corner has plently or room to turn out and pop through nicely.  I'm still working out the right amount of space to leave but it seems to work ok. Smiley

Anyway I hope that helps someone with the corners and thanks to everyone who keeps posting their great pouches, it's keeping me inspired!  Cheesy

I love this tut!!  I would've never figured this out because I'm lazy and slightly dim witted/slow.  I was going to try to make these some back wards way but I found this post in time.





I'm definitely going to be making a zillion zippered pouches to hold everything from now on.
