What kind of glue did you use?

Just the cheap all-purpose-glue. But, as I said, it might be much easier with hot-glue. I had to be very patient with waiting while it was getting dry. Fabric glue might be another alternative.

I just wonder.. Isn't it a bit annoying that the pincushion is higher than normally?

Not if you're me. When I am sewing, everything flat on the table is hidden by heaps of fabric and other things. Those jars aren't, because they're so high. Plus, the extra weight of the jar makes them stand fast, they don't shift around like the normal pin cushion. I love it! But I guess not everybody would, so just try and see if you like it

What I may add... even if the glue might take some time to dry, have patience and wait two or three days until using it. I just threw about 20 pins in the dustbin because they had glue at the tips and wouldn't work very well anymore.
