So I know a lot of us have Lexi's books, Intertwined and Handspun Revolution.

Last FF, we talked about having a thread where we could show off the yarns we've done inspired by her techniques.

So...  here's my first try at coils, grannystacks and super granny stacks.  I had plied with thread before..  but adding the all the coils and grannystacks were Super FUN!!!

I also got one of her sparkely rainbow crazy batts..  it's HUGE!!  I can't wait to dive in!

So what have you tried?

Intertwined just came out, so you can get it on amazon.com.  I got the last copy at my local barnes and noble.. so you can even find it there.   Handspun revolution is "out of print" so you can only get it thru her website.  http://www.pluckyfluff.com/yarn.html

They are really amazing books with techniques for creating really unique art yarns and crazy batts.  Intertwined also has a bunch of fun patterns for using art yarn.

Beautiful!  What's the fiber content of of the yarn?  It looks really shiny.  I really liked how you photographed it on the swift, too.

80/20 merino/tencel.  It's soft and squooshy.. but the tencel adds a bit of shine.

I really want to try the super coils now Smiley

Thanks for the information, but I think I'll try to improve my spinning skills a bit more before I try more difficult things..  Smiley

Oh my, yummmmmmmmm!  I have her book sitting next to me, but I'm still a bit intimidated.  I so LOVE what you did, it may just inspire me to give it a go.
