This is probably one of the easiest recons I've done and I love the result. Started with 2 cream colored lamps with grey bases which is too dull and boring for me. So i brought out the modge podge, made my patterns for the lamp shades out of the newspapers, bought some beautiful silver irredescent martha stewart decorating paper on sale for $2 a roll and ta da! Two new lamp shades for $1 each! Eventually I'll spray paint the base silver too. Comments?

Great way to dress up shades and they look better than any that you could purchase!

Very pretty! I've been looking to fancy up some shades myself, and yours are a very nice inspiration!

Thanks for all the compliments!  Sorry for the glare in the second picture, the silver pattern has abit of a sheen to it, which looks real nice in person but not with flash on a camera. It really was fast, easy and cheap to do. It really modernizes my whole living room. Who would've thought new lamp shades could do that. Wink
