I never met a craft I didn't want to try

I've been playing with clocks from Big Lots for the last year and giving them as gifts.  This was one of my favorites.
I have a friend who reads Tarot for a living, and I originally planned to use cards for the numbers, but then I had the idea for the planchette sweep hand and the Ouija clock was born!

The face and planchette were done in Photoshop, and the sweep hand was fabricated from clear plastic and glued to the stub of the original sweep.

Fixed the photos!

FYI The font used is called "Captain Howdy", how creepy is that?  Whether the name came before or after The Exorcist, I can't say.

The only problem is that the plastic wasn't quite stiff enough and if the clock gets tilted back the hand hangs up under the minute hand.  Fortunately the clock hangs tilted forward slightly by design.

So cute!  Love the hand.  I used to make clocks with album covers, but you've inspired me to try a board game one! Cheesy
