for years i've been collecting slides and cover windows with them. i first measure the window, then lie all my slides on the ground and tape them together on their edges. then i carefully lift the slide grid and attach it to the window! i completely covered the top high windows of my store front with them and people always are suprised when they realize what it is they're looking at. instant stained glass! when the light shines through  the colors look fantastic!

i have a photo posted of the front of my store at the garagesalegallery.net site.. click the first box in the left hand corner where all the thumbnails of photo's are (it will make sense when you get there.) you can see the slides in the long top window's above the door way..

i haven't tried i could see it as being feasible. you might want to use wire/lampshade ring as a guide, and poke holes into the corners of the slide and thread it together with thread or wire.

The idea to put slides in the window is a really good one.. I wish I could see pictures!  Grin

Too bad all my slides are being saved for my upcoming lampshade project.. I figure as long as I keep the slides a good distance from the bulb and do not use too high of a watt, everything should be ok!

I have hundreds and hundreds of glass microscope slides, 2"x2". I really need some ideas. I've had them longer than I can say.
