I used a foundation pieced pattern and I thought it wouldn't take me very long!   Turns out there are lots and lots of fabric pieces  (i think more than 40!)    I made it for my husband who I generally hate to craft for, because I don't really know if he likes it or not.   I think he likes this one..  I hope so anyway Huh
It was so tiny I didn't actually quilt it, but framed it as is with a little batting behind it.  I think the frame is for a 4x6 picture.

Foundation quilting still intimidates me and this piece is gorgeous.  The family I nanny for would love it as well, their house is on the lake and they have a lighthouse staircase.

I just love mini quilts.  Foundation quilting can get tricky, and you did a very nice job putting it all together.
