This plaster bandage mask used to be part of a Hallowe'en costume I put together a few years ago - I was the Baron Samedi and decidedly the creepiest thing to run into on the streets that night.  We decided it was artful enough to keep it around as a fixture in our living room.  Apparently it's still rather creepy.  Guests say the creep factor is increased by its position next to the thrifted mirror, one of two mirrors in our home:



And the following is a collaborative piece which came out of our last art night.  The son attended and found reprieve from the adultier (ei: boring in his world) conversations in glueing capacitors and other electronic bits to dollar store canvases then handing them off to the rest of us for completion.  This is the one handed to me - just sharpied line drawing in a rather obsessive manner and currently sported by our ancient coffee table:



We're calling it 'primordial cream of mushroom soup'
