Well, Georgianna is my new camera. I love her.

My kids lost my lil Cannon PowerShot about 2 weeks ago (my friend keeps telling me the toddler probably threw it in the garbage) and so today I went out and got a super-SWEET deal on a Nikon D40X DSLR. Oh man..... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! (thanks kids!)

Now I am going on vacation for a few weeks to visit family and I had to make a bag to put her in. I am refusing to buy a case. I will make a better case at another date, but I am leaving in less than 2 weeks.

I am going to make separate padded bags to put the camera, lens and other pieces into, but so far this is what I have. I am not too fond of my stitches, but it'll do for now. I'll just call it my prototype. Cheesy

I originally bought each fabric for a different project and today thought, Hmmm... those two would look really good together! I did royally screw up one and then this one was Round 2 of making the camera bag.

I used elastic around the top of the front and sides. The handle is reinforced and actually has one of those.... oh geez, what the heck do you call those straps that are woven plastic? I can't think of the name! AGH! It was right there too! Anyway, it's just a tube of fabric I made and threaded the ugly strap through the reinforced it to the side of the bag.

What do you think?

There was another pic of a side view, but for some reason I can't load it.  Huh

Those fabrics DO look great together Smiley

Oh, and were you thinking of webbing? The stuff that they use for the straps on messenger bags and stuff like that?

Cheesy I was thinking that same thing last night. Wonder if I take it out today (with Georgianna in it) that would be weird? LOL! I'm not going to go take pics- I just want to take it all out.

YES! I think that's it! These were a yucky nylon-type. Pretty fugly. Cheesy
