whew! two days of sewing and i now have a new laptop bag!

i saw this fabric on a project here and fell in love with it. i knew it wouldn't take the abuse i give a laptop bag, so i used iron-on vinyl, which wasn't easy to use (i had to get a teflon presser foot so it wouldn't pucker. definitely recommend it!!)

here it is... whatcha think...

OOH!  Pink goes good with Green!!  Absolutely fantastic!!

was the fabric already vinylized, or did you do it??  And where does one find such amazing fabrics?  My local places are crap when it comes to cuteness like this.

thank you!!!

i'm not sure where i got the fabrics from, but the name is "full moon forest" by moda. it's made in blues, too. i ordered it online, but cannot remember which site (fabric.com might have it and only $2.95 shipping for the first order!).

i added the vinyl before i sewed it together. iron-on type. you really have to be careful and iron it a lot or it looks cheesy. also, i didn't use high gloss, i used lustre.

Very cool!  Love the fabric and the bag!  Cheesy And where did you find the iron-on vinyl and teflon foot?  And was it hard to work with?  I'm curious about trying the iron-on vinyl stuff to make some water-proof (or at least water-resistant) bags for lunches and/or other stuff.

Great work!

you know what we think!! super! I really like this web site. I am seeing things that I've never heard of before. IRON-ON VINYL?!!! That is cool. Very. I have never heard of such a thing. By the way, love that pink and brown. I've crocheted and knitted several hats/scarf/mittens with it. All the 20 somethings snap it up. Can't keep up! (I may need to add a little green too, looks so good)Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.
